:oWell I'm suprised no-one has posted Conversion yet as it's a Sheyla episode!!!! "Sheppard and Teyla have a very special friendship. Will it blossom into more? You'll have to wait and see. Be sure to watch episode eight: 'Conversion.'" "So far I've written: 'The Siege, Part 3,' 'Duet,' 'Conversion,' and I'm in the middle of writing the first part of the mid-season two-parter. There are already enough spoilers floating around about 'The Siege, Part 3' and 'Duet,' so I won't really go into them. As for 'Conversion,' let me say this: those pesky bugs from 'Thirty Eight Minutes' play a big role in this episode." "For the most part we'll be running into other human races (a bunch more than last year), but there may be some new aliens towards the end of the year. We'll be revisiting the 'Thirty Eight Minutes' bugs -- lots of them -- in an episode called 'Conversion.'" "The bugs aren't the only monster in 'Conversion.' And yes, the bugs are WAY cooler than they were in 'Thirty Eight Minutes.'" "Over on the Atlantis side, we're putting Joe Flanigan through the ringer in 'Conversion,' an episode in which he gets to experience how the other half lives."

Definate possibilites there. Anyone who sees the pics posted on GateWorld and doesn't agree isn't paying attention. Here's to hoping.

Yeah, I saw it. Starting out, they wheel Sheppard into the infirmary, only to find that the wound that Ellie gave him is completely gone. Hmmm... Odd. Soon after they release Sheppard to continue his day, Beckett discovers something interesting in his bloodwork. Meanwhile, we see Sheppard is getting stronger, much stronger. He tires out Ronon without breaking a sweat in a foot race and defeats Teyla with equal ease. He pins her to the wall and a converstation insues. Because of the Sheylaness of it, I'm including it in full: Teyla: You've shown a remarkable leap in ability, Lt. Col. Sheppard(His voice husky): You can call me John when we're off the clock. Teyla: Ok. John. Do you wish to continue or... (Sheppard pulls the stick away from her neck, grasps her face, and kisses her passionately.) Sheppard: I'm not sure exactly what just happened. (Pause) That was interesting. (Pause, his voice becomes concerned.) You okay?
Beckett calls him to the infirmary when he informs Sheppard and Weir that the retrovirus is beginning to alter his DNA. As the changes progress, Sheppard is given a viral inhibitor that will slow the growth of the retrovirus and grant him some lucidity. He confines himself to his quarters and orders Weir to put a security detail on him. Caldwell takes over Sheppard's job and immediately starts making changes, which pisses Weir off to no end. Beckett discovers that the only way to return Sheppard to normal is get some Iratus Bug eggs. A team, including Teyla, Ronon, Beckett, and McKay, are sent to the bug planet to an Iratus cave. It goes so not well that two of the grunts die. When Weir goes to tell Sheppard of this, she finds him almost completely transformed. Sheppard says she has two options: go back and try again or kill him. When she refuses both, he grabs her by the neck, slams her into a wall, and then breaks through his security detail. After an amazing display of power and agility from Sheppard( think Spider-Man), he is confronted by Teyla. After an emotional scene, she is unable to kill him, merely shooting at his feet to scare him off. Ronon ambushes and stuns Sheppard. He now has less than 24 hours before the retrovirus alters him beyond repair. Eventually, Beckett discovers that Sheppard is emitting pheromones so that the Iratus bug would think of him as one of their own. Sheppard gets the eggs, but then runs out of inhibitor, making Ronon stun him again. Sheppard, weeks later, is almost completely better and has a talk with Teyla, apoligizing for any "out of character" actions he "should apologize" for. Teyla tells him to "Give it no further thought." Sheppard says, "Good. I won't." Teyla concludes by telling him, "It's good to have you back...John." She turns her back and, as she walks out, breaths a sigh under her breath. John stares after her retreating figure.

Thanks for the review. I haven't seen this episode yet, but from the transcript that I have read and the pics I have seen on the web. This was a really cool episode. Now I only need to see it for myself.
